the smallest one was madeline
madeline is on tv on saturday mornings now. my children and i love it. the beginning of the show is always the same, just like the books if you remember, and it shows the twelve little girls breaking their bread together at a long table. i was always a big fan of annie, madeline, the parent trap, any show that had gobs of little girls living together. it just looked like so much fun. i always loved their bedrooms, too, with just row after row of cots. they were all the same. simple. white. uniform. i find that so pretty. shocking, huh? :)

Sounds like a sweet show...and what a sweet home in which to watch it!
I loved reading the Madeline books to my daughter (now 22) when she was little. Maybe because I have been to Paris and it's such a beautiful city.
I don't know that I'd like having lived in a place with uniform white cots, but there was so much love in that old house covered with vines that the room truly was beautiful!
Looks like a sweet show...and what a sweet home in which to watch it!
we have all the dvds. love them. anna still watches her madeline movies. they really are precious. now...where'd ya get those mason jars, they're flowery and have some kind of swirly design on them? blessings!
Sometimes genuine beauty comes in the simplest things. I love your take on it and adore this picture! I'm assuming that it's at your home.....:)
i miss mine being little to watch those with me. love the pretty picture.
I love Madeline too and I really love that table.
I always loved those kinds of movies too. Of course I grew up with a house full of girls and it was so much fun.
Do you always have pretty fresh flowers in your house? I love that about you...amoung loads of other things. :o)
I used to LOVE Annie. When I was about 8 I would brag: "I've seen the movie, and the play, and read the book and I have the record..." etc. I was SO proud.
My SIL's daughter is named Madeline, after the books and show. I didn't have little girls to enjoy those with, but God did bless me with a niece who adores everything girly!
Thank you for your sweet message the other day...I'm glad that you stopped by and enjoyed your visit. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Easter.
