where i come from...
lotta front porch sitting. in case you aren't a country music fan, that is from one of my favorite alan jackson songs. our uwharrie chairs, table and bench arrived just in time for the beautiful weather!! since it came, we had been enjoying 'front porch sitting' immensely, until the pollen showed up. right now, even if you don't have allergies, you are sneezing out there - yuck!
so what do you think? i love that i got white and i love the nantucket style! thank you all for your help! the green bench was a little brighter than i expected, but i love the color pop and let's be honest, i really don't know if there is a shade of blue or green i couldn't live with :)
happy spring, everyone! and gesundheit!

I love it all. I had never heard of that style of chair before but I will never forget it now!
Your porch is so inviting! We have a porch under construction. I plan on spending a lot of time on it the spring and summer!
Happy Spring!
I wish we could be sitting out on our back deck right now, but here up north there's still snow on my lawn and the furniture isn't out of storage yet. We're expected to have a warm spell this afternoon, so I commanding the white stuff to disappear from my grass!
Your new chair and bench look right at home on your porch. Enjoy the sunshine!
(And thanks for visiting my blog too!)
Your porch looks gorgeous.
You must live in one of those areas in the world where you don't get eaten alive by mosquitoes and blackflies the second you go outside. One day I am going to live somewhere where you can sit outside in the evenings, and even go without screens on my windows. That would be pure luxury!
We have blackflies the size of rats here. I have never, ever sat outside and eaten a relaxed meal. Not once. It's impossible. The bugs drive you inside.
You have impecable taste, BTW!!!!! Love the cottage, love the sagey greens and creamy whites.
Looks really lovely, did you paint the chairs?
Sweet one looks like she has a new hair cut....very cute.
I LOVE THEM! I'm ready to come over with my book and relax.........pollen and all.
Still too cold to sit on our porch. :(
What a great addition to your porch, I am sure you will enjoy! Great time to get them too, you will be able to enjoy all summer!
I think it looks great! What a fun place to spend a warm Spring evening!
Love, love love them!
yep! very nice! and, if i recall there's a line or two about eatin' fried chicken in that good ol' song. (my favortie part...the food part!) the porch and all is lovely...as usual. i await your television program. i will call it, "live from cottage bethy" and we'll all watch and get wonderful ideas and wish we didn't have mosquitoes and nasty critters like that. i'll fly over and bring some sweet tea. blessings!
What a beautiful place to enjoy your Honeycombs!
it's "cornbread and chicken," ashley :)
