blue
the blue bug has finally hit my bedroom. i had it painted martha's graph paper several months ago, but that was really the only thing blue. i got this bella notte sham from cottage chic on approval to see if more blue would be better, and yes, i approve! of course, more blue is better :) i just got the wooden blue frame too, and i feel it is finally coming together! yes, more blue, that is all it needed.
i am going to chicago next week. anyone else? country living is doing an event with ladies who launch. i think it sounds right up my alley.
thank you all so much for your help picking out my porch chairs. it made me feel better to know that we are all in agreement! i ordered four nantucket white. they should be here before the middle of april. yippee yippee yippee! just in time for spring.

Yay, I'm glad the Nantucket White won! I can't wait to see pics of those on your porch!
Cannot wait to see the chairs and I love the more blue. Cute lamp! I wish I could see you in Chicago next week, and I am so close! Well, have fun!
Hi there, I enjoy the blue too and think your bedroom looks lovely. I just posted some pictures yesterday of our room too - which is blue if you'd like to take a look. I think you made a good choice with the blue :o)

Yea for blue! That sham looks very cozy. And, yea for your chairs! I bet we'll be treated to another pretty photo when they arrive. Can't wait.
You'll be in my neighborhood this weekend, homedaisy. That event sounds interesting and inspiring. If you find yourself looking for something to do during your down time, please know you're welcome to drop by the Little Cottage! We'd all look forward to meeting homedaisy in person. :)
Love your bedroom...very peaceful!
Have a safe and wonderful trip!
BTW, thanks for the Cottage Chic link...I will be heading to the Pinehurst store next week!
so pretty. i use a little blue in my bedroom also. it was shabby white for so many years and then i started pulling in a little blue. now i am getting ready to do something different. sorta like mod meets shabby chic. i want to do the tufted headboard and maybe a mirrored piece. i am working on a chair that I am having covered in icy blue velvet. i'll post a pic on my blog when its finished. i am even thinking maybe some wall paper after all these years of hating wall paper.
So beautiful! I think it's just the perfect blue for this room, thanks for sharing your ideas. ~S
Bethy- Do you live near Pinehurst? My sweet hubby is from Southern Pines. We leave for our annual visit there 3 weeks from today. Jen
hi jen,
i have only been there a couple of times, i think it takes about three hours from here, not sure?? i have wanted to check out the cottage chic store there. please go and fill me in! :) are you flying there?
Oh no. We always drive it. Crazy isn't it? My only consolation is that we just bought one of those car dvd systems that has 2 screens and 2 dvd players. It should make everyone happy. Plus the drive gives me a chance to catch up on my magazines!
Cottage chic is on my list of things to do. I promise to report back. Also, next time you go, be sure and eat at Vito's. It's wonderful. Hubby and one of his brothers both worked there when they were younger so it's very nostalgic for them. Jen
Oh my! I just discovered your blog and have loved looking around at your lovely home!! BEAUTIFUL
I was wondering if you would be willing to share the paint colors in your room that has the daybed and your little table you just painted and also the color you used in your front room....the taupe color....I love them!!

in the room off you kitchen with the daybed and in the room adjacent to your dining room...the one with the taupe color. They are so refreshing!
