I love love love this idea! Please do so so we can see them!!! :)
I think your posting is quite ok to do. I love houses that do welcome. I am so happy it is warm in the NE, we are getting ready to plant flowers and watch things bloom. It puts me in a good mood!!!
I promise not to tell - just how us the pretty, smiling yellow houses!
can't wait! post soon.
That house does automatically say welcome! I can't wait to see more...
I just said to my husband this weekend, "Let's paint the beach house yellow!" He didn't respond!
Oh, well...can't wait to see more yellow houses!
I take pictures of doors and chuches...I think your safe. I guess if your not I'm not! EEK! LOL
What a pretty house!!! Your right, it does say welcome. Keep taking those pictures.
keep posting! this house is beautiful..
I think yellow houses are welcoming also, add a red door and it's over the top. I live in a yellow house, but with a green door. I hope my house says welcome to everyone who visits. Hope to see more pics of yellow houses. Thanks - Karen
I have always wanted a yellow house with a flowers everywhere, and a white picked fence. Those kinds of houses immediately put a smile on my face. You don't find many of that style here in Arizona.
I'm so sorry to read about Jacob. My heart goes out to you and your family. (((hugs)))
I love your posts! Yellow houses rock. I also love a fantastic high gloss door. Especially in RED. When the roof goes on this place (white house with green roof) I would love to retile the roof in a warm grey, do black shutters and a BIG OLE SHINY RED DOOR.
Love your posts, love your taste.
I SO need to get flowers on my porch. I still have my curly willow in my urns. Yikes.
My grandfather Pop loved yellow. He had a yellow bedroom and yellow towels and lots of other yellow things. His favorite color very much fit his happy demeanor. He would have loved this house! I enjoyed seeing this picture and look forward to more.
What a great house...it is VERY welcoming!
I am the proud owner of a yellow house with black shutters, a black front door and a big white front porch. It's a new house, so it doesn't have all the character and charm of an old one, but I still love the way it looks. As soon as we decided to build the house, I knew that it would be yellow. Now I just need to plant some flowers...
I came across your site because I am looking for the perfect red to go on my side and front doors. I used Crowne Hill Yellow (Ben Moore - is there any other kind?) on the house, white trim, black shutters. My 10-year old daughter tells me if I go too bright red it will look like mustard and ketchup - must admit she's right. Any suggestions? Will look forward to the pictures.
hi tmc1st,
i have to be honest, red is not in my arena. i don't really do black either, so coordinating with those colors is hard for this blue/gray/creme girl! if i had a yellow house (actually did once) i had pale green shutters and a stained wood door. so that is my favorite. :) if you are dead set on the black shutters, i would probably do a black door or an orange-y red colored door. hard to tell without seeing your house though. best of luck and thanks for commenting! :)
