wanted
.
for about a year now i have been trying to find someone with an industrial sewing machine who can make the prototype of a product i have created in my mind. i have also been looking at other types of manufacturers for some other related products. i am obsessed with this vision i have had, and i can't let it go. but i cannot find someone who can make this idea a reality. it really amazes me how difficult this has been. i have been close to giving up, but i just keep coming back to it. i'm not going to make millions with this idea, i might not even make anything - haha - but i would love to finish what i have started, you know? i really want it to happen! oh, and i also want a farmhouse sink. the above picture is of me staring at one. do i look enamored?

I can't see the farmhouse sink but I understand the enamored part....this is also my dream sink. My sister-in-law just redid her kitchen and got one and I am so jealous! I hope you find someone to help make your dream happen! I love seeing others successful in fulfilling their creative dreams...it makes me think someday I can do it too! Have a great day!
oh indeed--you do look ever so enamored but i'm more curious on how the heck you get your hair to do that "updo look" while in a pony tail! i wear mine pulled back all the time & its just lays flat on top of my head.
is the secret your mousse?
do you tease that area?
or are you just blessed with thick perfect....blonde!...hair!!!
sigh
Okay, second comment...how pathetic is that? I was just looking at some of your older posts since I am still new to blogging and looking at other people's blogs. Your house is so inspiring...love your blue fridge, your old chairs (I have a thing for old chairs). By the way, how did learning to sew turn out? That is my current obsession...wanting a sewing machine for Christmas. My decorating world would just expand so much if I could sew! Check out my new blog if you get the chance. It is a spot to keep in touch with my friends and family but I also want it to be a spot I can share and swap ideas with others who love decorating! www.acottagefamily.blogspot.com
Dreams are good! I, too, hope that you find someone to help you on your way to seeing it fulfilled...and if possible that you get a new friend in the process.

Good luck with your project. Perhaps a company that does custom upholstery could steer you in the right direction? I love the photo, it's priceless!
paige,
you crack me up. i was looking at the picture wondering the same thing! lucky hair-do day, i guess :)
I have been reading your awesome blog for quite some time now, but I have not commented, so hello! :) Your home is gorgeous and your photos and writings are so inspiring! Thanks for sharing them! Yes, on the hairdo! Yes, on the sink! But about that project; (please don't kick me off here already for what I am about to say)where did your positive thinking go, girl? Yes you can find that perfect industrial seamstress! Take the T off of that tiny (but dominant word) and be "obsessed with this vision" without any *can'ts*. (Visions only become reality without lack, right?)Add to it how excited and delighted you (and all of your readers) will be when you have achieved success! I know I will be! :) Try it. You CAN do it; the proof is in the pages of this blog (and inside the beautiful home you've created!).
mskl,
thank you for coming out of "lurk"dom to encourage me. i do appreciate it and i will press on :)
Just checking in after a super busy week and am excited to hear that you have a project that you've sort of shared... don't live with regrets of never doing it. At least this is a start..the more people you tell, the more likely someone will know someone.
I hope your teaching is going well this year too... I think about you often and wonder what your lessons are about!
i may have a contact for you...seriously. i'll check into it and email you. also...i would like to see more pics of that house or wherever you were...looks beautissimo! me=checking on manufacturing-type contact.
