toys: trains, tracks and trucks

a peek into the playroom...and this is actually pretty clean! my son is a total tinkerer. millions of tiny pieces. legos. blocks. cars. trains. puzzles. he can play alone all day. it is great when i am working on my own projects, we work parallel, my studio next to his. together we break for lunch. the mess he can make on these home days is amazing! but then again, mine is too :)

** sorry the picture is fuzzy. it is another taken by my daughter with my phone. after my son so passionately built this track, she was concerned i would clean it up to vacuum. they wanted a picture to remember how to rebuild it. you see how this kind of thing is taken very seriously here? :)

I love the play room and the well thought out track design. It's great that they wanted a picture to remember how to do it again.
I also love the random things about the husband that you adore so much. It's a wonderful thing to be in such a strong loving relationship.

Are those Brios? My son had a set of wooden trains like that when he was little. He just loved them. He's 25 now and a computer software programmer...so you can see where the creativity of building train tracks led him, LOL! Looks like your kids are having just as much fun!

You brought back good memories of my son and daughter's massive track creations!!! I still have them for him to keep later or for my future grandchildren!! You don't realize how great a mom you are... you inspire so much creativity in your children!!!

Oh, how many of those elaborate train layouts I have had to clean up for the vacuuming chore... I understand your daughter's need to capture the moment!

i need to make a personal admission here for all the world to read and i must type this slowly because it has been one of my very deep secrets that no one knows about but a very few people. i have a great emotional attachment to my children's toys i cannot get rid of them. this picture makes me flood with wonderful memories of my now 21 and 19 year old. these are some of the most prescious times for you bethy and looks like you know it!!! :) i now have a new grandson who has alot of things in grandma's basement to look forward to. can't wait!

awesome track picture, lots of hills and under the table leg is a really cool touch they really look like track building pros!

What fun and that is all pretty amazing! Dan loved to do this as well...and, like Mom2fir's son, he too is a software programmer/developer. There must be something about the building of tracks and being creative! he inherited the creativity from you!

But I am also loving that *doggie*(?)
rocker in the background! SO cute!!

Hugs,
Sue

Ok, so I have to know. What color blue did you use in your playroom? I am also curious what color your children's rooms are.....as beautiful as the colors in the rest of your home are!

And I have to add...we are getting ready to set up a train table when the boys turn 2 soon....so I see what I am in for!
