decoration day
i bought some old school flags a few weeks ago at my favorite antique shop. this weekend i scattered them about in different places around the house to remind us of the holiday. this one on my front door is still hanging on despite the many door slams and one hard hit by a water balloon. i hope you all had a great long weekend!

Girl, you even make a flag look cute. Love the bow.
aww. the little flag reminded me of the parades we kids use to have in my neighborhood when we were growing up. i remember decorating my big wheel with crepe paper and waving one of those flags as i drove it in the parade. thanks for the fun memory lane trip.
How beautiful the flag looks on your front door!

Beautiful! How great of you to remember your country on Memorial Day with flags, and how clever of you to plan ahead! Smart. And so cute!
Got any great ideas for exterior paint color? I want to paint the outside of my white and dusty blue house.
ok. went to target today to get "pool toys" and bought some flags. not as cute as yours.. as your all all "loved and worn". mine are kind of plastic/cotton mix. :-) but they will make do in my little planters.
still looking for 2 flag swags for my front porch though. didn't you tell me you knew of a place.
:-)
I love the flag. Every time I see one it brings a smile to my face.
I know you are currently crushing on another door, but I must say, your current door looks lovely!
I was over at Lisagh's blog and saw that today was your birthday.
Have an absolutely wonderful birthday!!!
Aww, there's nothing like showing your patriotism. I love to see flags flying.
Happy flag day, Bethy! I love love love this idea and am going to copy it if that's is ok with you here in central Illinois (farkleville)
And now I have this as my background on my computer. I just love the idea AND the picture!
Mine has white satin like yours AND blue and white polka dot! Thank you so much for your idea. Great for the Fourth.
