some people like fancy cars and diamonds...okay, i do too, but more than those kinds of things, i like things like doors. and this weekend i found the perfect door. and i mean i got it bad for this door. when i saw it, i got all woozy over it. i took twelve pictures of it. i did not want to leave it. when i got home, i inquired about it and i found out this particular door costs $10,000. i am accepting donations. if you are interested in sponsoring me and my door, please contact me. all sponsors will receive pictures of the door at holiday times with its festive adornments, you will get immediate notice if/when any famous people knock on the door, and you will also receive updates on big milestones, anniversaries and achievements met by the door. this is a fabulous opportunity. my door and i thank you in advance for your support. :)

$10,000??? What kind of door costs that much? LOL
Oooh, LOVE that door! Totally worth $10,000! (not!) I'm sure you can find one like it for much, much less!
Wow. That is a lovely door. But 10K? They are proud of it aren't they?!? Lol. I understand though. I get door fever too...
You should have a telethon! hee hee
I am a door person, too! I drag my husbadn all over the beach to show him houses and doors...I think I am rubbing off on him as he will now say, "Saw a great door today!"
Oh...where does this door live?
CB...If you buy that house for me I will give you the door. Are you sure its not just the door knob that caught your eye? Seems like just your type of door knob!
My dad designs architectual stained glass and entryways...a nice entryway can be quite pricey. I like entryways too and I hate stained glass with the gold...ick. so cheap looking.
I feel your pain. Time to really get the sham business going. CB linens, available online! I can totally see it.
How could you not love that door? Oh yeah, the price that is how not. I have an idea for you, there are a couple of salvage places that we will venture to in the cities here, maybe you have them in your neck of the woods, but sometimes contractors when building new houses will accidentally order the wrong door or size and then they wind up at places like that for under $100. Just a thought.
Oh, now, what did you just go and do? WHY did you show me that door??!!! I A-door it !!!! :)
I can understand your instant and nonwavering attraction - it is sooo LOVELY!
You are too funny! I wish I could help... I have my own door issues right now! Thanks for the idea though...we already have the same sidelights and transom...this door would look lovely in my house too! Suggest to the company that they have a makeover contest to win a new door and you be their first submission!!! (or write them and tell them that you just gave them a huge advertisement with your blog and they should give you $$$ off!)
Doors last so much longer than cars, just consider what a great investment it would be ;-)
Mmmm yes, it looks very interesting but... We had a front door with windows in most of the top part and I hated it. Honest, I did.
Since we live where Winters are cold, it let in lots of cold.
And I don't want people able to see in my front door, after dark. Even if there are outside lights. Had to keep some sort of semi-thin curtain on it. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Just saying the other side of a door which was similar...
Mari-Nanci
I just had to see it didn't I? Now I want that door too. Maybe we could do a fund raiser?
I should donate as I could personally visit "the" door...I love it!!!!
It is a-door-able!
Now THAT is funny!
:)
i'm not reading all your comments, but how can that be? really? i think you could go have ol' joe down the road make ya one for at least half that much...don't you? it is a beautiful door. i agree. it seems like a door that would be described in a book, like Anne of Green Gables or something.
Holy heck! I LOVE that door, but who oh why does it cost $10,000. You're gonna need sponsors for sure.
