Bethy, you have such a beautiful blog, I'm so happy to have come across it. And what a champ your husband is to do his part to add to your collection of Oz dolls! I think I'm going to humming "We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz..." for the rest of the evening!
How funny! I've been eager to collect these little characters too! Certainly better then their 'boy' counterparts, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! :)
Wow, you guys have got some fancy McDonald's in your neck of the woods!
(ps. my dad used to work for Madame Alexander a million years ago ... I had a lot of these dolls as a child - thanks for the reminder!)
I did not know about these! Oh my gosh! I LOVE Wizard of Oz. I try not to buy too much stuff but I would love to have these. I have the glasses that Krystal put out on the 50th Anniversary of the Movie.
These are just too cute.
That is so funny...I just brought home one of those yellow fairy ladies tonight! Who is she? I don't remember her from the movie.
the yellow girl is "daisy munchkin." i don't remember any munchkin named daisy, but i guess they just wanted to have a character to represent the munchkin people. isn't she cute? :)
that cracks me up! I can just see your husband ordering.
Check out my new blog.

This post is too funny. We were at McDonalds today, in search of the new doll, and Daisy Munchkin was eagerly opened. I was just saying to another mom that these are the best Happy Meal toys, such much better than the usual plastic junk we end up getting!
We dinned at our local McDonalds tonight...finally, we got something different than the Cowardly Lion!
My mom has been getting them for my daughter. I haven't seen them all together like that - very cute! And your husband is a gem :o)

Hey now 'Emily'! My son LOVES those turtles! :) But you're right...they aren't as cute!
I love the Wizard of Oz!! As a matter of fact, I just started the book Wicked.
Who would ever think...Madame Alexander Dolls at McDonalds???? I have a huge collection of Madame Alexander dolls from my childhood. Actually, my mom has them. I think she bought them for me when I was little but they were really for her.
I love your blog! Thanks for your comment today. I will try seriously not to envy the fact that you have met Corrie ten Boom - she is the person I'd most want to meet! I have read lots of her books - my hubby found a lot of them on ebay and bought if for my b'day a few years ago. Serious perspective when I think I have it rough! :)
we keep getting the wicked witch. boy, her face is green. cute collection. now, tell me what you're gonna do with 'em.
I just saw these for the first time when I was at my sister's for Easter, my mom has been taking my niece to McDonald's to get them. However, I am a little miffed that she has not been taking ME to get them. I love them. I have been collecting Wizard of Oz stuff since I was a kid, I don't eat at McDonald's or have my own kids though so I have been missing out, your dolls and husband are too cute!
I featured you on my new blog today.
I hope you don't mind.

& yes i need to stalk some golden archs for our set of the dolls too!!
Well how come when my boys were little they didn't have such cute Happy Meal toys??? Sheesh, I'm gonna have to find a little one in the neighborhood here somewhere and take them for a Happy Meal or two!
I have some of my mom's Madame Alexander dolls from the 1950's. Too cute.
So I had to let you know, now my mom has the troops out "hunting" for Glinda. She has employed me, my dad, her best friend and my boyfriend. We are to stop at any McDonald's we see and ask if they have Glinda. . . she did let me know though that you can go in and just buy the toy for $1.67 you don't have to eat there :)
Those are arorable...seriously...and to think they are happy meal toys!
Hehehe!! I got Dorothy too. Took my son to McD's and the boy's toys my son already had, so I just asked "Hey, I'll take the toy this time, I would like a doll!!:oD
I love those! I want a Happy Meal...with a "girl" toy ~ at least once in awhile :))
Have a sweet day!
