time out
wilna, in all her coolness, has inspired me to get crafty today. not with an artistic page about my imperfections, but with curtains. i am trying to make some curtains. with ruffles. i have never made a ruffle and so i don't know what i am doing. but i am up for the challenge. thanks, wilna! :)
it just poured down rain here. i open the windows when that happens just to hear the rain. my grandfather taught me to do that. i want a little yorkie. my husband says no way. he was bitten by one as a child?? a yorkie?? hmmm. did you see the snl skit with the sofa king commercial? so funny! alright, alright back to the ruffles.

Awesome!
I might get crafty today and try to scrap :)
And it is cold and wintery here too but we have allll the windows open - it is wonderful.
love your chairs. are they from cottage maine furniture?
Good luck with the ruffles! Let us know how they turn out.
Thanks for your comment today. It would have been fun to meet up at Freshfields, hmm? :) Well, I love the Carolinas, so I'll definitely be back some day. Hopefully in the not too distant future!
I love the randomness of that post! It's very funny. Can't wait to see the curtains.
I'm looking forward to seeing it. I've never attempted ruffles so I look forward to hearing how difficult it might be.
Love the curtain rings. :) Ok. I have to comment about the yorkie thing. :) I have been niped by one also. He was not a very nice little dog. But on the other side my roommate had one who was very sweet and would never bite anyone. It just it is a toss up. :) What can I say. The size of the dog make them tempermental. Poodles that come in that size can be biters also. We got our poddle on petfinder.com. It links you to local shelters. We got our puppy when she was seven month old. We are her third home. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! In just seven short months.
Sorry for the long comment. Love your blog. If I ever have anything to blog about I might start one. :)
Take Care.
please don't listen to the bad things about yorkie's. i have one, her name is lola, she is almost 3. we've had her since she was 8 wks. old. she is the sweetest, most loving dog ever. everywhere we take her, to the vet, the groomers out on our boat everyone always says that is the sweetest dog i've ever been around. i think it has alot to do with what your temperament is around your dog. she's a cuddler, she trained easily, behaves well. i think if you have sweet well behaved children you will have a sweet well behaved dog. i love my lola and don't know what i'd do with out her. yorkies are just great dogs and i encourage you to get one.
I can't wait to see your curtains. I hate making ruffles. If you are using the method where you make two rows of basting stiches and pulling the threads, just be gentle...I always end up breaking the threads...I find it really frustrating. Also I was once told that if you pull the bottom threads (the bobbin threads) it's easier.
i realllly want to know about the wicker chairs. if you don't mind.
the wicker chairs are from a pier one side walk sale about three weeks ago. i paid $32.00 a piece.
i am ridiculous! i have one of those chairs. i could try to tell you now that i am not crazy, but it would do no good. thanks.
