I recently discovered your blog and have enjoyed seeing the progress of your beautiful home projects. I love cottage/shabby chic style and you've given me so many ideas for a home we just bought in the pine trees. We're moving in a week. Everything needs to be painted, including the kitchen's dark oak cabinets, and I would be so grateful if you'd share your favorite white paint brand, color and finish that you use on your walls and trim. And thank you for giving us all the info on other colors you've used. Beautiful!
hi kathy! congratulations on your new home! i am sorry i can't help you with a good white paint right now. moving into this home, the trim was already done and i have not painted anything on the walls a shade of white. but, i am in the process of wanting to do some white, so i will hunt along with you. i was just in a house that did white walls and grey/green trim everywhere and it looked fantastic! made me rethink how i do things here. i also found out my beloved martha stewart paints are no longer available at sherwin williams - gasp!! so i am thinking i will start my hunt at benjamin moore. best of luck! :)
Thanks so much for your response. I also discovered a few days ago that SW doesn't carry Martha Stewart paint anymore. I went to look at some of the colors you've used and no luck. I read on her website that Lowe's will have it soon - I think. Good idea to try Benj Moore. Wow, the white walls with grey/green trim sounds fantastic - I may consider that if I can find colors I like. You are so inspiring - I feel like I can just get in there and do it!
Ah, it is flea market season again isn't it! Yay! I recently came across this website & thought of you. Perfect timing w/this post! http://www.comefleawithme.com/ It seems like it'd be right up your alley! ENJOY!
Speaking of painting, I wanted to tell you I went to my mom's & she painted my old bedroom light robins egg blue...she also painted the ceiling the same color & added beautiful crisp white crown moulding. It looks amazing.

Je suis jalouse! Hope you have a great time. I've been meaning to ask...is Cottage Chic a treat to visit? I've enjoyed their website for awhile.
I am very jealous!

I think I just heard that Martha Stewart paints are now at Sears...
Wish I could be there, too!
