That's a great thing to have on your list....& no it's NOT too much! We have one in our back yard and LOVE it! We will never have a house without it. No sharing neighborhood pools here! :) YOU GO GIRL!
how about you show us that fabulous kitchen first? that is a beautiful pool. one of my friends has a pool in her backyard and it's so lovely without all the distractions of others. they use it all the time.
Oh, I want that too. We live in one of those awful country club neighborhoods with a great pool but I hate going. There are some days I don't want to socialize with my whole neighborhood. It would be SO nice to just walk out back!
I understand the desire - we go to our club to swim and after I load up 2 kids and all their gear, I am worn out before we get there! I have enjoyed reading your blog - and love seeing the photos of your home - it inspires me to get working on some projects around our home!
I really really want an inground pool. It will never happen. It's just not a smart move for our climate. Plus my husband is so cheap........or maybe he's just smart?
I think if you live south of PA then it might be mandatory! We thought about it but then, my kids get most of their socializing done at the community pool during the summer.
Two years ago, we put in a pool very similar to the one shown. I was out there with my spray can and marked the area to "dig here!" In hind sight, I wish I did go with the black or dark interior, but with kids and animals, I wanted to see straight to the bottom! Other than keeping us cool in the summer, it has increased the consumption of soad, popsicles, iced tea, and towels needing to be washed all of the time, but we love it.
this is totally unrelated to the pool....which looks fabulous by the way! do i remember you mentioning that your children go to montessori? if that is correct, would you email me personally and let me know you like it? we just got in to our montessori for 2nd grade and i just don't know how i feel about it for the elementary level. my daughter did montessori preschool for a few years but just trying to get more input about montessori elementary level before we accept/decline!

My, that looks so inviting. I sure would not mind having one also. Hope you get one.
Irma :)

I agree. Actually, at this point, I'd settle for one of those above-the-ground plastic ones. Or even a kiddy pool. It's so hot.
I don't think this is asking much at all.........good luck!
Wow! Yes, it would be so nice!

Oh how I would LOVE that!!!
What a lovely pool!!!
Of course you are not asking for too much. Living here in FLA...I think a pool is an absolute MUST.
We're having a major heat wave here, so I think this looks perfectly reasonable! A girl can always dream.
It is also on my list :-). How can it be wrong?
The only concern I have is the usage of water and electricity being an environmentally conscious person.
Greetings from Germany

Love it! But I'm always worried about my son wandering into it by himself..
P.S. Please please add me to your list! Love your blog!
that's a beautiful pool area... so serene!
